Hello all,
I Have managed to find a glovebox light for my1300 cc dolly and would like to wire it in. I have tried but I cant get the light to turn off when I shut the glovebox door. The ever present switch is there and working.
Can someone please tell me where I am going wrong and also a simple wiring diagram would help.
Many Thanks
T

Re: Glovebox light wiring
Can you make a sketch or describe how you've wired it?

Re: Glovebox light wiring
Wiring is dead simple, take a fused permanent live feed (purple wires on fusebox, or in loom) to one side of the bulb then run an earth from the other side of the bulb to the switch.
HOWEVER, this may not work as the switch was not put there to operate a light, but to give a little spring assistance in opening the glovebox! I know right! As such, the switch isn't mounted in anything metal so won't earth, you might need to solder a wire to the back of the switch body and earth THAT to make it work.
