Hi all
I have a couple of leaks on my Sprint, its up on jacks so I've noticed a puddle of water on the floor its not a huge amount but enough to be concerned
I am almost sure its coming from here (this is a previous pic the engine is back in the car, but that orifice is obscured)
Does anyone know what might cause this?
The second minor leak is gearbox oil and it seems to coming from here
If I take OD sump off to change the gasket does it dump all the oil

Re: A couple of leaks
That's a failing water pump seal. If the car hasn't been run for a while it may 'bed' itself back in again, but you'll probably have to refurb the pump.
You'll lose a little oil taking the filter plate off the overdrive, but not all of it by any means.

Re: A couple of leaks
Hi Steve, Yes my 1850 wasn't used much over last winter and it was dribbling a bit from the cast-in slot. That was quite a surprise as I use EWC ( no water content ). As Alun says, run it for a couple of days and it may stop; mine did.
Keep in touch on this,
Cheers for now,
Tony.

Thanks Alun and Tony
I'm going to leave the water pump alone for now but at least I now know what to address if it continues or gets worse
The OD leak I'm going to have a bash at over the next week
