I had a bit of a mare with mine, but most of it was of my own making
Once I realized that it wasn’t going to bed back in, I bit the bullet and decided to take it out and rebuild/Refurb
I got the water pump repair kit for Paddocks (JPS128) taking the pump out was no drama and doing the rebuild was surprisingly OK apart from I broke the brass cage!! I didn't seat it properly in the press when pushing the impeller off, I used the press because I have one, but I don’t think it would be too bad to take the Impeller off without the use of a press, I’m sure there’s a few folk on here that have.
I had a mare trying to get the old bush out, but got round that by a piece of luck, I was lent a M16 taper tap by Mig Wielder (Tony) and although I couldn’t quite use the method Tony suggested, the thread perfectly fitted my slide hammer, so I just screwed in the hammer and popped it out
I managed to get the impellor faced, I found a friendly machine shop they are not a motor factors operation but they had a lathe so I walked up there with the dog and they did it while I waited, he wouldn't take any money no matter how hard I tried
With the impeller faced, the pump back together and the bush fitted into the block the pump went back in OK, I had other issues after that but that was more Sprint inlet manifold to Sprint head related
