1980 Triumph Dolomite 1850 HL with overdrive SOLD

#1 Post by MrE »

Car Now SOLD
Here we are, I thought is would never happen, but yes after very nearly 14 years of ownership I have to pass my Dolomite on to the next keeper.

My Dolomite is Russet Brown with what is described as Beige interior and it currently has 53775 miles on the clock.

During my ownership the following work has been carried out on the Dolomite.
Front & Rear suspension (Upgraded)
Brakes fully refurbished which includes the following:
New rear Shoes
New Disc Pads
New Discs
Reconditioned calipers
New rear brake cylinders
Also a new old stock original exhaust (the exhaust fitted when I purchased the car was a very poorly made stainless steel one).

All the above was carried out by Robsport International.

The car in general is in very good condition, very small amounts corrosion, it is not perfect and would benefit from a bit of TLC.

The engine runs very smoothly, the gearbox works well as does the overdrive. (currently requires a new battery-this will be replaced before the car is sold).

I have a file containing quite a bit of history, there are two sets of keys, two Workshop manuals and there is also a service kit (Air & Oil Filters, fan belt and rotor arm), I also have a couple of car covers.

The Dolomite has only covered 1,700 miles in my ownership and only 124 miles since the last MOT back in 2018, although I do run the engine regularly.

My location is just north of Cambridge close to the A14 & M11, and in the first instance I can be contacted on the following e-mail:

If you have any questions please contact via e-mail.

I am open to sensible offers.

I have the V5 registration.

Please see attached photos.

Good afternoon

I was just wondering if your Dolomite was still for sale please and really what kind of money you were looking for.

I am looking to upgrade from my 67 1300FWD to a Dolomite, but it has to be the right one.

Many thanks

Someone had a bargain there!

Interestingly, the 14 year owner posts it on here, but exactly one week later a dealer sells it on ebay; that's either a very quick off the mark dealer or the owner was desperate to sell!
