Dolly Sprint clutch kits

#1 Post by Yellow Banana »

Having a 'mare trying to source a 3pc clutch kit for my newly rebuilt Sprint engine after being let down big time by another supplier. After contacting Fitchett, Wins & Robsport told they all sell Powertune parts rather than the NOS Borg & Beck. The prices vary markedly from £80 - £131 (+vat/p&P).
My big concern is how good are Powertune parts? Are they reliable as I don't want to be replacing them in 6 mths time? Not racing the car but need to have some decent reliability as I've read/heard of some pretty dodgy outcomes of late. Any advice much appreciated.

I buy, use and recommend Larkspeed clutches. They do 3 for the Sprint in varying stages of performance, the lowest spec (uprated road?) one is fine for anything you'll be doing on the road.

Have fitted several and been very pleased wih the quality, no fuss, no judder and no failures so far. The first one I fitted has been in more than 6 years now.

I have no conection with Larkspeed other than as a satisfied customer.

Steve

EDIT, The first one has been in just shy of 9 years, Where does all the time go?

Can anyone help please? Getting my car back together after engine rebuild and I seem to have mislaid the small square metal plate that fits at right angles onto the engine stabiliser bracket. Thanks in advance.
