I have been Dolly-less for a couple of years now and keep thinking I ought to get a Sprint before I'm too old to enjoy it. I've seen this one on Car and Classic https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1890701 which looks nice in the photos, but is in the Isle of Man, creating all sorts of problems with going to see it. I wondered if anyone might know this car which was on the mainland before the current owner shipped it off-shore. Is the price reasonable?

Have you messaged the seller to get the UK reg it had?. Might give some here a better idea of its previous owner etc. I have car mates on the island and could ask if they would go and see it maybe?

Good idea Tony. I'll message the owner about the UK reg it had. And if anyone on the island fancies having a look at it, that would be great too.

Re: Possibly looking for a Sprint
It has a Club sticker in the back window, so must have been owned by a member at some point.

Re: Possibly looking for a Sprint
I have heard from the Isle of Man owner and the Sprint was originally JLL 624N. Does anyone know the car?
Mike
EDIT: The MOT history for the car shows it had major corrosion problems from 2007 to 2013. Hopefully it was properly repaired at that time. The car seems to have covered a little over 100,000 miles. I will ask the owner for more details.

Re: Possibly looking for a Sprint
Locally to me (West Midlands) Steve Wilkes is thinking about selling his Magenta Sprint, I can put you in touch with him if of interest
Re: Possibly looking for a Sprint
Thanks Alun. Is Steve's a good car? Principally I don't want any serious corrosion problems - been there, done it, too old to do it again. If Steve is willing to send me some pics I am happy to receive them. As you can imagine, buying a car from the Isle of Man would be an expensive option, although I do like the green!
