So, 2 weeks ago (21/10/07) I went with Mary to have a look at David's (6214) '73 Mimosa Sprint that I'd been contemplating buying in the event that KDF was a non starter. It was a 280 mile round trip but was definitely worthwhile.
The car seems to be very solid, apart from the bits that David had already pointed out on the bulkhead and lower front wings, I couldn't find anything else rotten on it. After a good look around, over, under & in the car, a deal was struck. David will be trailering said beast to my garage next Wednesday, all being well.

Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. ... Still Sprintless.
Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.
Well done Mart for taking up the challenge. Seemed to me to be a good original car. I'll check the servo area on VA41 if I can over the weekend, if it's good its yours.
Good point tin....i hadn't thought of that (surely you aren't thinking of cutting such an early car ), Mart....if you want a piece to weld in there I can check my 1850 if you like.....guess its the same?
I should be able to cut it by wednesday if you are interested

well done oh mad one! Nice to see another early Sprint about to be sorted. Keep us all posted on progress. If you get stuck for any bits I may have the odd item to help you out - nothing major I'm affraid but you never know.
