It's here.

Thanks David & good to see you again. Hope all was well with the journey home.
Having spent most of the afternoon looking over the new Sprint & starting to strip it I must say it's in excellent shape body wise. So far I've managed to remove the bonnet, front & rear screens, all the front lights, grilles and the majority of the trim (including the gutter trim).
Pleased or what?

You have done well.....I spent the afternoon driving, catching up on mp3's!....then kind of collected an 1850 on the way home.....journey was fine - glad you are pleased ...... so far!
So todays effort in clearing the drive has resulted in more stuff on it than before (mind you the trailer frim will notice if I don't take it back)
anyway....keep up the good work mart....

This morning I had a good tidy up to start with, as my garage looks more & more like steptoes'.
After lunch I removed the engine stripped the wiring loom out, removed the front light holders, almost got the front bumper off (one nut is turning but won't come off).

Note from Admin: sadly Jon passed away in February 2018 but his humour and wealth of knowledge will be fondly remembered by all. RIP Jonners.
are you serious ?After lunch I removed the engine stripped the wiring loom out, removed the front light holders, almost got the front bumper off (one nut is turning but won't come off).

took me 4 weeks to do that !
strange, thinking about two sprints on opposite sides of the world both having almost identical deconstruction.....
if I can keep up, i'll be using you as a guide on what to do !

Stu, the engine only took me 5 minutes to get out because the gearbox was already out & the only thing I had to disconnect was the fuel line to the pump. Went to undo the engine mounting bolts & they were already out, so basically I just had to lift it out.

Only spent a couple of hours on it today. Completely stripped both r/h doors & removed the vinyl covering on the 'C' post. Thanks to a tip from David (6214) about using a hairdryer to take the vinyl off, although I used a hot air stripper...at a distance.

Stripped the other two doors today.

The boot cleaned up quite well and looks very solid.

A better pic of the bulkhead now that the pad is off.

The inside stripped out.

Peeled back the edges of the vinyl roof to expose the cause of the "bubbly vinyl).

Some of the glass & trim sorted & ready to go in the loft.
