.... more to do with passing Steve Wilkes, 2-up on the M40 on the way to Gaydon
Oh yes, I remember that...so does Gill!

Doesn't seem that long ago really, but its what, 4 years?

What about some of the non-triumph engined cars out there? ALG1K? Eightiesflamer's XE powered Sprint if it's finished? NA cosworth, Zetec from S Wales. Does the car have to be road legal?

Time to pull my finger out with Project Orange!

I was with the twin-airbag full-on mentalist then and I'm two models on from that particular variant now so an easy 4 years I think.

What's this all about?!

Now then, I will not be able to make this event in May.... Which is why I suggested February as, if not being Commissioned, I will most definately be somewhere very hot and unpleasant! :)

Mrs W most definately will not race the car judging by the face just pulled

Some how some women just don't understand!

That said, Roy has said he is interested in building his 1300 to the same spec, and being the same colour, can more than carry the torch for me!

What's this all about?!
The first time I 'met' the elusive Steve Wilkes I saw him in the distance dawdling along a motorway with "mate", (my pet-name for his wife) on the way to a show. Naturally, giving EDY some major beans, I passed him at about [several miles per hour] or thereabouts, so they could hear the subtleties of my exhaust, before being 'respectfully requested' to 'please slow down just a tiny bit' by the dual airbag-equipped co-pilot. Speeds approaching those originally quoted in Sprint spec literature were achieved by Steve as he caught-up.

'Sprint?' he asked on arrival at the show. 1500 says I, popping the bonnet so he could have a look. I was proper pleased with myself that day.

I'll run yours for you Al, no probs.

So that will be a modified Sprint then.

Any one with an original, un modded one?

Will be interesting to compare your's to a standard one though Adam.

Don't forget Adam's car was recently rolling road tested and was shown to give factory bhp

Would that equate to £several hundred for no improvement other than the sound?

Ignition - off engine I got in a swap with Richard4040 for some alloys

based on the figures given by adams car recently i think even tho it's mildly mod'd, we can take it that its performing like a not too long out the box standard, if other folk agree
