I should be ok with a tank full as the circuit is only about 30 miles from me, but may need a top up on the way home. What I have found is that you need to keep the tank above the quarter mark or you will start drawing air through the fuel lines (baffled tank would be nice). As you're coming quite a long distance Adam, I would top up just before you get to the circuit.

Alun, the event will probably be full by then. Best give them a ring & see what happens in the event of a cancellation?

There's a Shell station on the A46 (J18 M4) just before the turn off onto the A420 that does Optimax, but it is stupidly expensive. I do know a BP station a few miles the other side of Colerne that does Ultimate though, which might be a better bet.

Well the track is about 90 miles from me. I'm thinking if I fill the tank before I leave by the time I get to the track I'll still have about 2/3-3/4ish of a tank left, run on that until it gets lower, nip out to a petrol station if need be?

You won't want to leave once you get there, and the nearest petrol station is about 20 minutes away if you know the roads...

Should be possible on a normal day down the M4 in about an hour from Colerne, but on a match day you would be better coming off onto the A48 and driving in through the Docks. Grandslam decider eh? 8)
