Despite the weather, I had a great time. It was a good turn out of Dollys & nice to put more names to faces. Had a couple of spins myself and went straight over a cone through the chicane, which lodged underneath & wouldn't come out, so I had to pit. But as they say "if you haven't spun you're not trying hard enough!" (always makes me feel better anyway).
I thought Adam & his Sprint did very well. He kept up with Jon for a few laps which was pretty impressive seeing that there must be 40-50 bhp difference between them and Jon has an LSD.
Looking forward to the next TD (probably CC next month).
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. ... Still Sprintless.
Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.
Not the best I'm afraid, the Camcorder needs to be raised a bit to clear the wipers & I need to put a bit of damping on the bracket, still (the weather didn't help much either).

has that camera got manual focus? If so you need to turn it on (probably in auto normally) and focus on something ahead of the car (where the actions going to be) otherwise it'll just focus on the nearest thing, the windscreen

Or the boot of my car I was on road tyres and Mart was on semi slicks if we had changed tyres we would have changed positions and it would be Mart in front, Mart gave me a lift round "I dont drive this fast Mart" says I, you must do he replied actually we all did, I love it when you have a whole bunch of quick Sprints(and Healey).
It was a really good fun day despite the weather. Nice to see so many old cars being driven hard and very few problems during the day. was also good to meet a few more members from here.
One thing I did enjoy was when I was in Marts car, he let a couple of Lotus seven type cars through.................and then he was all over their boots Sprints seem to be particularly good in the wet, cos I was lucky enough to see the last outrite win in touring cars for the Sprints at Silverstone years ago at the Race of champions (non championship F1 race).
Must have really shook em when Mart and I were together
Here is a video with Bruce (CT) as passenger the PUG 205 does what he does best............get in the way, note how Mart and I move and lift off for the Lotus to pass, the PUG does'nt, and he is also alongside me right up to the corner the little pest but he was Sprinted by me 3 times
Another curious thing is when I checked my tyres despite the deluge I had managed to put some major wear on them............those airfields are very abrasive.
Tyre wear (being a bit tight) is one reason I've resisted putting my Elise on the track, the Pirellis I have on it at the moment are a bit 'soft', but beings I haven't driven it this year at all yet and its half past March I suppose I have a bit of tyre wear 'credit'. I can just imagine getting pulled on the way home with illegal tyres at 3 pts per corner!
