Yep,
Was gutted that I missed out last year.
I've been on and off since I was a kid. It's a fantastic show.
I love all the steam stuff too. Especially that carousel with the punch card organ
I'd fancy the Saturday I think

I know where you are coming from J. It's 100% outside so it's usually a spur of the moment thing for Joe-Public (Me included!!).
Poor ol' traders and exhibitors don't get that luxury

OK subject to no rain, both me and the Mrs. will be there to look about for at least the morning.
We are going on the Saturday and the Greeny Meany will be in the car park waiting to see what treats I bring it back

Went along this morning as planned. Met with beautiful sunshine which actually lurked throughout the day. Numbers of stallholders and cars on display were down slightly on last year. However, maybe some were due to turn up later today for the remainder of the weekend. Numbers of people attending were reasonable and it never felt crowded. Some lovely cars on display and relatively tidy ones for sale. No Nath, I didn't buy a car. However, I was tempted by an old 20's/30's car... Huppmobile or something similar. It had wooden spokes and was complete. It actually had tax and mot. Lovely, simple yet interesting car. Mine for £7000
Went along to the Lea Valley LR Club stand and got some joining stuff. However, it seems that they don't do many off road events that include 110's, but greenlaning is ok. I might still have a look at joining though.
Odd and sods in the autojumble. Bought some more stainless screws, etc, some bodywork stuff for LD and a worklight for the Landie. Spotted a pair of 1300fwd wings, surface rust and some damage to the inner wheelarch lip.... £59 each. A bloke from Cov had a Dolly front inner panel for £110 and a rear panel for about £95 IIRC. I didn't buy them. Lots of Ford/Austin, et al but not much for the smaller Triumphs. Didn't spot any Dollies or FWD's
Colin, I had the poxy phone on silent
Tried to phone you back and ran out of credit. I couldn't top up the phone 'cos I had no cards with me...
Sorry mate. Hope you had a good day. I did keep my eyes peeled but didn't spot you (obviously).

He! He! No dramas Ken
I saw the front inner panel, it was a genuine 'Stanpart' but £110 was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a panel that I might not need.
We stayed until about 2pm after getting sunburned
Took a few snaps including this one, in the 'Best of British' arena, which I found amusing

Bloody old Bentley blocking the view!

Wouldn't mind one of these too

All in all a good day out, glad we went on Saturday, seen the weather out there now?

Re: Enfield Pageant 2008
Glad you enjoyed it. Saturday was just right re: weather cos it's weeing down today and it wee'd down yesterday (for most of the day).
Forgot to say, in the Best of Britain enclosure... did you see an old 1902 RR in the corner? A real minter. I went over with Andrew and had a good luck at it. I thought it strange to see a couple of 5 or 6 year olds clambering+++ about in the back, hanging off the doors, etc. I spotted the horn, it was a real 'arrooogah' one in the shape of a sepent, so I gave it a squeeze. Lovfly sound. This snotty cow rushes over to me and says 'please don't touch the car', I replied in my best snooty voice that my squeezing the horn bulb was doing far less damage than her brats climbing over everything in the back and then I walked off leaving her spluttering
Mind you Andrew did look like he'd just crawled out of a coal pit bless him
If you don't want people touching a car then rope the damn thing off
