Good "Dolly" Turn-out at Moffat

#1 Post by nattypix »

Hi All, we had a good turn-out of Dolly Club Members at the Moffat Show to-day, Doug, Tom, Bill and Jason (see pic) managed to get our cars together and had a good bit chat. Mixed bag of weather with some nice sunshine and heavy rain at times.
Bill and Jason put out a few dolly mags and application forms to try and drum up a few new members (see pic) and then along came Mel (her car was sick!!!) with her friends so we had another photo taken. We're looking forward to the next meeting and hope to put up a stand for the TDC.

That was a fun day out, you must have made good time on the way home Tom? Thanks for putting the pics up.

Although that's the last time I'm parking my standard 1500 dolly up beside a great looking 1500SE like Bills!!

Here's the link for the Selkirk Rally.

Hopefully we can get ourselves sorted out and a few other members involved.

It's quite rare to see a group of Triumph small saloons that doesn't include a Sprint, great pics.

Brilliant! You didn't waste any time getting the pics up! Shame about the torrential downpour, everyone made a run for it so I didn't get chance to say cheerio. We ducked in and out between trees and autojumble stalls to try and see most cars but it was pretty horrendous!

Was lovely to meet you, and I can say that in the flesh those cars are beeeyootiful! I did find it slightly alarming though to be greeted with "ah, so you're the famous Mel!" :D :D

I'm still trying not to be tempted into buying the SE....

Another of the line up (see how the boys managed to get close to the ice cream van!) and some other nice examples which were scattered around the showground.

Hi Justyn, he's a nice mature guy (75) called Doug Johnstone from Lockerbie. It was his mother's car, she was a local GP, also of mature age when she bought the car and then retired 6 months later, Doug put the car in a garage and then it emerged years later when Doug got the "bug". The car is in it's original state and has no work done to it what so ever.

It just goes to show how well these little 1300s were built, that looks stunning, someone has looked after it very well over the years.

Yep Honeysuckle does look very smart polished up Alan.
