A FWD auto? I was unaware a transmission layout of that type even existed! (In the Triumph range...)
Any more details on that?

The absence of auto from a range addressed to the older downsizing retiring bank manager cleintelle was a bit of a nono...and a major reason for going to the 1500TC rwd platform.
ISTR autocar commenting on same at the time..
So a lot of 1500TC's were auto...the dolomite being too sporty for some...
Maxi autos are Cool george...think they were also available in 1750, the AP 4 speeder IIRC

Put my money on it being a 1500TC RWD Auto from the 'pre Dolomite' range consolidation and common badging theme of 76.
Maxi AP Jonners? Borg Warner nec pas, my like of Autos' has been a bit dented just recently, Jag, Complicated and Expensive all go toghether
