Had a mess about with LD today, it was a lovely day for it too.

Ran her for a while to make sure that the oil light didn't put in an appearance after the oil and filter (Club one) change (STP added as well), all was sound. No IGN light either as I chucked on the alternator I bought a few Stoneleighs ago. I loosened and retightened the shock mounting bolts as recommended. I'll see if it all settles after a few miles on the clock.

Did notice a small trickle of water from the top of the rad, the stickey out pipe thingy that the expansion tank hose goes on was loose in it's mounting recess. Have cleaned it up and chemical metalled it for now. I will check it again tomorrow. If it ain't holding I will put in a spare rad. The joint just needs soldering, otherwise it's sound.

She's all cut back, clayed and polished now. She looks pretty good even if I do say so myself 8) The bonnet has a few scratches, it may respond to a mopping at some point. At least it's all shiney :D :D Also found a wire strand from my elecky wire brush with my index finger whilst cleaning the passenger seat. I was quite impressed by how far it actually went into my finger tip

Don't worry, I'll get KAC to flash his Square 8's at Lemondrop, what a hybrid that'l be!

let's think about this a minute, a cross between a 1300 FWD, and a 1500TC RWD --

That'll be a 1400 1.5C mid wheel drive!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Oi Oi! LD is somewhat discerning you know

Actually.... no.

Hey, imagine being able to breed them. Fantastic, I'd never buy a car again 8)

Anyway, LD is a bit incontinent at the moment. It's chuck in the spare rad time tomorrow evening/tuesday evening.

It's a little G reg blue/grey Austin 1300 automatic. Found it at a farm near to where I work. I'd popped in to ask for directions to a clients place. Spotted the car, a Pug 104, Rover 95 and an MGBGT and just asked what was happening with the Austin.

So it's mine. Paid a really, really small amount more than the £20 I got for the Rustomite and he is throwing in a nos rear subframe too :D

So it's a baby version of your 3 litre Austin J, albeit without the hearsy bits 8)
