PT Cruiser

#1 Post by tinweevil »

In order to avoid hijacking the xmas progress thread - Phil said:
It's been replaced with a Chrysler PT Cruiser Diesel in Black 8) .

And Yes I heard all the Jokes this week Black Cab/Taxi/Hearse

Mrs Weevil hates those for the looks, I can't say I exactly like the look but I don't hate it. I dislike them because I know exactly what it puts me in mind of and don't deliver.
The looks make me think of these:

Which instantly makes me think of these and these:

with results like these

and the need for these on the back:

But chrysler said noooo to that (we don't need no steeenking bhp?) and gave it a range of engines that comes from these
Image or Image
Leading to performance that goes from these

Image all the way up to Image

Is it just me? (Sorry Phil)

you forget that chrysler use people that are below 60 to design their cars
and they also came up with the prowler an awsome retro ride
youv'e missed out the rt......... v10 version and it goes in without too much bother as well, but your fuel economy does suffer a tad

Yeah, the prowler is awesome. A great retro ride that unlike the cruiser has the go to match it's show. I suppose I'm being a bit unfair since it wasn't ford that made the pop what it's become. It's just so rare to see one that hasn't had a forking great v8 wedged in that the two have become inseparable in my mind.

Chrysler took on a new head of design about ten years ago; he is a chop fan and spends his weekends doing it to all manner of 40s and 50s yankers. Seems to be a man with the ideal job...getting paid for his hobby.

He apparently wanted suicide doors on the PT but couldn't get it past the safety chaps

Have you seen details of the concept Dodge Tomahawk?
