Triumph/Leyland Part numbers

#1 Post by HolgerS »

Exist there anywhere a source (best case would be an online database) where all the part numbers are included with a cross reference into which cars these has been fitted? I found several places like the TR interchangeable part list from the TR register (which includes only the cars until the mid 60's) the part catalogues for the individual models (but there are more than hundred of these if you see the whole portfolio of the late Leyland) or some basic online options like using the Rimmer Bros page for that reason (but there is only a very small amount of the overall part numbers there). So in sum it is very time consuming and frustrating and at the end of the search you have to live with a possible 20 or 50% answer as there are others cars around which might have been also fitted with the part. Therefore I am searching for a more effective way. Any ideas?

Try Rimmer's price list. It covers quite a few Triumph models. I believe that a Club Triumph member was hoping to create a .pdf document listing such information.

Thanks Toledo Man. I used Rimmers already for the search but I am unable to make the reference in which cars the part was included. For example if I search for Leyland Part-No CRC360 I just enter http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rim ... tID=CRC360. Here we go and see that this part is a column support bush and see it's costs but do not see to which car it belongs. Am I to dumb to see it or is there a trick somewhere?

The problem is that normally you have a "back to the catalogue" button at the end but this brings you to the last catalogue which you have seen no matter if the part you are looking at belongs to that car. If you go direct to a part number like with the link above it gives you no clue from which car this part is......

I was referring to the printed price list that's like a phone directory.

What HolgerS is aiming at is determining if any other models/marques used for example CRC360 or is it unique to the Dolomite.

ie GWP207 is used in Sprint and 1850, but also TR7 and Stag...
TKC101 is used in Sprint but also SD1 Rover and XJ6

etc etc
