It's a toss up between 2nd and 3rd in the V8. Pulls like a train in both. 2nd is good for 70mph and blowing away most moderns. 3rd is good for a ton, which is good for blowing away pesky little modded renault 5 turbos etc (on the track of course), that somehow keep up with me acceleration-wise in 1st & 2nd.
TBH, I like all the gears, when the bleeding car's on the road!
