Alternative alloy wheels.
Alternative alloy wheels.
Does anybody know if there is any alternative alloy wheels for the dolomite sprint that will just bolt on and that are not to boy racer. I have been led to believe that the MGF alloy wheels have the same PCD, correct me if i am wrong.
Any advice will be welcomed.

Geoff Sparkes has MGF alloys on his racer. Don't know if they are a straight fit or not.

Did you read that list Lewis?
Austin Marina?......
You mean Morris Marina...
Also Rover Metro, Maestro and Montego alss use this PCD.
I reckon but have no proof that the Rover 214/216 do as well.

Sorry, a random thing on my part. It was sold overseas as the Austin Marina and for some reason that is the one that always sticks in my head!

I think you're right about 214s - you occasionally see them rollin' along on MGF alloys and a quick google suggests they are 95.25 but the bigger Rovers (820 and the like) are 114.3.

Re: Alternative alloy wheels.
Here are some interesting alternative 4 x 3¾ inch (i.e. 4 x 95•25 mm) PCD alloy wheels, which I believe originate from an MG Montego.
5 x MG Maestro/Montego 14 Inch Alloy Wheel Rims
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302972546504
According to information I obtained from the vendor, they are 5•5J x 14 inch with a 28mm offset, but I have yet to gain any information about load rating. From what information I have gleaned about other MG Maestro and Montego, 14 & 15 inch alloy wheels, the load rating is likely to be in the range 400~425 kg.
There is also said to be a sixth wheel available in this pattern which would provide the insurance of a spare-spare-wheel, in the event of serious damage to a wheel on our increasingly pot-holed roads. I know that I would certainly appreciate one, especially as I have always rotated the positions of all five (one spare) or six (two spare) tyres on my vehicles to wear out a complete set at a time.

Holy thread revival Batman. 11 years 10 months and 8 days is that a forum record?

Re: Alternative alloy wheels.
And I don't find those wheels easy on the eye...
(I have run 14" maestro steels/mgf spares on my car. They work well and it is possible to trim some spitfire centre caps down to fit. Currently on minilites pinched off my spitfire, fitted with crossclimates. I also have some mult-spoke type wheels off a TR7 which need "work". I like 14" wheels on the car....)
