What paint code does it say on the vin plate. Its normally a number like 63 but can sometimes be a few letters?

Be great to see photos of the car,

Black my favorite colour,

Hole's Bung's on boot lid could also be for a luggage rack?.

#5 Post by jiffy »

hey guys finally got the sprint this morning,in much better condition than i could have wished for, needs a cill on the drivers sice and a small hole in the drivers floor, also the petrol tank cover panel needs replacing or patching, looked at the vin plate it says as follows,comp:va6259
paint code:B6AC?N it has a compensating valve at the rear ,got to replace the fuel pipe at the rear joining the pipes together at the fuel tank, then i can get it running, tax disk says mar 00 so guessing that was the last time she was on the road,
REG IS JVA37N all the electrics are fine and all switches and dials seem to work ok,
its got an 8 track 70s stylee palyer installed too..lol
the rubber bungs on the boot are really close together bout 2 inches apart so dont think it was for a luggage rack...cant wait to get her running and see how she goes
more updates later as i get her going jiffy :D
