Must be easier with a ramp, couldn't get the ends of the split pin straightened today as unable to get decent access through the subframe and around the rack whilst lying on my back. I'll go beg a favour with a commercial place with a ramp in the week...

Roy, did you take the pump off or did you get the split pin out in situ?

Think it'll need doing sooner rather than later - started her up today whilst she is sitting at my place awaiting propshaft repair and she blew the rubber seal out from the oil filter. Only three hours tidying up to do then
. Sprinty pump sure do shift some oil, even at tickover.

Hope you didn't run my bearings whilst using my very expensive engine as a musical instrument!

Are you using a spin on?

Yes, may revert to standard as at least then the seal is trapped!

Guessing your having the same problem as me, you have the Wrong filter fitted.

So what is the correct filter for the spin on conversion? I simply replaced like for like with what was on when I bought the car...

I did the Same
But it was wrng the seal seals but only just it just just touches its so close.
I will post the right number tomorrow mate, i had two filters the same that blew and blew, now i have the right filter i have no problems.
Actually ill post it tonight when i get home.
