PS
It looks a better fit than my XE transplant, especially the intake side of things

I will have to relocate battery and master cylinder reservior to get mine in.
Don't know about all the other things like fuel supply, header tank set up etc etc. But thats the fun of doing it...

Fuel supply - Lift lump ( facet) - Then a Jaguar XJS High Pressure pump

A swirl pot and then a return to the tank.
Battery should fit in the bay fine

- They are a small lump 1.8 Turbo
No need for a header tank

- its built into the nissan rad
Misses the BMC Fine.
Sump needs to be shorter by 1cm !!!!
It will be around 210bhp @6000rpm and max tourqe 190lbft at 4500 RPM
Steeting coupling is right out the way no issues there.
Management ( standard nissan) pig stupid. Loads of sensors but it all goes into the ECU and the ECU itself just needs live and ground and switched live.
The only tight spot is the turbo elbow. Gonna go with a V- Band coupling ( comes off the turbo and then down into a 90 degree bend and it should clear with some jigging about - handbrake has had to move back about 2cm otherwise it gets in the way of the prop coupling.
The engine is iron block with ally head ( ring any bells ?

)

Header tank - wont it be too low to be used as a "header" tank. It will be lower than the highest point on the engine? How will the system bleed? Just a thought.
Everything else sounds cool.

Well tonight we done a little more fettling in order to get the engine sitting right
One snag we had was the actuator/turbo was fouling on the suspension turret so we done a little chopping and molding:-
Before (albeit on the opposite side)
After:-
Trial (the engine still needs to be raised up 15mm yet:-
In without support of the hoist:-

Lovely neat bit of fabrication there, I think you need to name and credit the person responsible for making that up?

Dan Trowbridge - DB Power - A really good mate of mine
He sells bits for 200sx and other perfomance cars but he likes engine projects
Nissan skyline engine in a nissan patrol

Very likely I would think. I believe competent, reliable and talented people like Dan should be promoted at every opportunity, his art is a dying art.
Your car certainly has captured the attention of a lot of owners on here.

Dan is excellent at this kinda thing.
Finds it fun! the madman !
Fed up of messing about old engines? Fancy some power? - Done.
As Ian dolly smith said - Looks easier than the Redtop or the K- series lumps to fit.
I remember seeing a sprint with a zetec but that looked wrong somehow

I might look to do some fabrication like that to get a decent exhaust manifold in my XE one...
