I haven't had any complaints from people who actually matter and who know what they're talking about, such as the hundreds of people who've graduated from the courses which I used to facilitate and am now involved with only in a consulting capacity since I became almost retired., their employers in the motor vehicle and allied trades wouldn't take kindly to their not being taught the correct ways in which to carry out such rudimentary tasks after all.

Honestly, how are the less experienced DIY owners supposed to know which way is up when people cast unfounded doubt upon that which comes from certain knowledge of the answer to the question asked.
