I see a 2000 mile from new Toledo sold for £7500 on that same web site. Looks like it could be worth me having mine resprayed after all!

That's done very well then! The estimate was only £7.5k and if you check the blurb, it wasn't faultless! Still, rarity always sells and being the only confirmed surviving W+P car, must have contributed to the price!

I've seen pics of a car with a similarly designed 2 tone scheme in Brooklands/Silver, but I didn't think it was a W+P car from other pointers. May not have been the same car as Steve 28 suggested back in 2012 though!

Watched an old episode of Bangers and Cash last night which featured the auctions of both the Wood and Pickett Sprint and the Toledo mentioned above. The bloke from the Mathewsons auction house seemed to be more interested in the Toledo than the Sprint but to be fair, the Toledo did look in lovely original condition. Complete with surviving evidence of the terrible paint job it received at the factory!

And good God, that really is an ugly-arsed paint scheme on the Sprint.

It's getting another repeat on Wednesday (18th) if you want to catch it. Yesterday channel at 2000.

I saw the Bangers and Cash Episode at the weekend.

Apart from the paint job, metal sun roof, leather seats and electric windows and rear seat belts, it wasn't that radical for a W & P car.

I was disappointed to see that the door cards had blanking buttons fitted to cover the winding handle hole, surely new door cards would have looked better?
