Verify by Heritage Certificate
And first reg 12th September 1980..

I believe she may have been a dealer demo.
There seems to be build date discrepancies coming through from the centre. My chassis no is 108699 so built 83 cars before yours, however my build date according to the certificate is 14th May 1980, 23 days after yours. So how accurate are these records?

Sometimes you don't get a build date, but a "date of dispatch" meaning the day they pulled it out of the factory pound and sent it off to a distributor. This obviously varied with demand, Rob Marshall and I have near twin Toledos, his is 9022 and mine is 9063, but mine has an earlier date of dispatch. Both cars are Carmine red, but mine has the nicer Grey interior, his is New Tan!

In my case I have both dates, 14th May 1980 build and 20th May 1980 despatch date to supplying dealer so it still does not make sense to me. If the chassis numbers are consecutive the manufacture date cannot be before mine and neither if his date is actually the despatch date. The only possible discrepancy is that my manufacture date is incorrect and it was built before the 21st of April and despatched on the 20th May or his build date is incorrect.
