Fastest Dollys
I've got a magazine from about 10-15 years that Scott gave me (where is he nowadays?) a the resto show with a blue Sprint in it. 0-60 in something like 5 seconds! Had something odd done with the door handles from what I can remember. TR7/Marine ones maybe??? Lovly pic of it with smoke coming from the tyres
Mags in Oxford tho

If a meet is organised in summer at either the 'Pod or Stratford I'd definately be up for a blow up.
Was planning to duel with Kev at CARS show in July but as the magazine no longer exists I doubt the show does either!
Plus it'll probably be the turn of the millenium before Kev's mobile anyway.

The CARS show will be taking place, but it'll be a single day event. It's on Saturday the 7th of July
Our Retro-Rides forum is arranging a big bash (well, it's set in stone barring the date due to touring car races being arranged about it :p) at a well known race circuit that will be open (OH YES) to take your car on, as well as some smaller autotests and possibly a rolling road.
It will be the mother of all events!

It's on August the 10/11/12th
Its home will be at MALLORY PARK, Leicestershire, and will indeed take place over a full 3 day weekend.
There is lots planned, and much more being discussed, but one thing thats for sure is that every aspect will have a focus on CARS!
Features include :
A large section of the circuit will be used to form a sprint track for you guys who want to play in the twisties.
Naturally, a large show and shine and club display area
A massive TARGETED trader area - all the best, and no 'legal highs'
Guest and demo cars
Guest attendees and speakers
Large bar with motorsport dvds playing throughout!
On the sunday there is a full race meeting planned (its 80% def a brscc meet http://www.brscc.co.uk) - you guys attending RR07 will have full access to view the race meeting, with numerous retro series racing throughout the day
Theres also gonna be a track for you guys who wanna race and play with your r/c cars, and even an area dedicated to people who prefer to tinker with airfix rather than airtools.

Well mine's definitely the joint-slowest, as it doesn't go, and is presently boxed-in to the garage by a camper-van that doesn't go... (Anyone want to buy a b*ggered Commer?)
Anyway, I went on a trackday at Elvington, organised by the FTO Owners club.
Javelin trackdays was the company that sorted out the trackday - they set up a separate track on the runway for the OC, and ran it on a day when there was a "mainstream" trackday anyway. Cost ended up being circa £100 per car. (One extra driver free)
If we did a similar thing, we'd all get to thrash it round "our own" track (open pit lane), and have our own paddock fully of dollies to look at.
Just a thought....
