Lets rank the Dolomites from fastest to slowest

So theres ALG 1K at the top
then... Potentially Phils
NOS Sprint, whos ever it is...
Scotts? Martins? Potentially Smifters?
Lewis', Potentially Adam Fs, Dollyboy
Everybody with a slightly spicy Sprint
Everybody with a standard Sprint
Jonners 7 engined 1850s
my low compression 7 engined 1850
everybody with an 1850
and so on and so forth :P

Are you talking 0-60 or top speed here? Results would be different in that case :)

I would have thought the V8s are faster to 60 than the race Dollies, the Vauxhall XE certainly will be faster than the Sprint ones, too, I would have imagined - but it'd be interesting to run a few tests comparing them :)

- Darren with AGL1K
- Nissan RB20DETT engined one from Australia
- Phil's AJP (this and the one above could be interchanged, as they're probably pretty equal)
- The 5.0 V8 engined Dolomite
- Any Rover V8 (pretty marginal difference between these two probably, due to tractive issues)
- The other Cosworth Dolomite (IIRC, wasn't there a blue one too?)
- The XE
- The race Dolomites...Maybe Quicksprint running on N20...hard to tell for that one really without more information.

Then as you say:
- Everybody with a slightly spicy Sprint
- Everybody with a standard Sprint
- Some of the competition 2-litre engined 1850s out there
- Jonners 7 engined 1850s
- your low compression 7 engined 1850
- everybody with an 1850
and so on and so forth

and so on.

I have a load of cars that won't do 0-60 (lack of engine doesn't help). I'm never going to get the top, but maybe I could get the wooden spoon for that?

The other blue cosworth dolomite is now 400+hp
I have given David all the info he needed from him initaly wanting to do this conversion 4 years ago
We talk on the phone when he wants to upgrade
and he has just fitted a set of BIG AP Racing brakes
I think it would shock a few around track as it looks quite standard...
Thanks AGLIK

"hire an airfield"

Sounds like a fine plan. Where, when and how much? :P

There was a car featured (Custom Cars I think from memory; Wilksey has a copy of it) where the owner had a recorded sub six seconds to sixty with a Sprint engine.

That wasn't the Fordson van by any chance was it? I had some ace shots of that and lost them!

Fantastic motor in it - custom forged pistons, up to 150BHPs worth of nitrous oxide, twin 45 webers, the works...

Must see if I can find them :)

BOOM! Found it :

Spec:
- 2.1 Triumph Dolomite sprint engine full race spec
- New block lightened & balenced bottom end with steel rods
- 1 off JE racing pistons machined in the states
- Competition head woth 3 angle valve seats
- 306 duration piper cam
- Twin 45 webers with K&N filters
- MSD blaster coil with moroso leads
- MSD digital6 ignition system
- NOS fogger kit with 75bhp jets at mo but engine built to take 150bhp NOS
- Comp group 1 race clutch with full competition box built by Jigsaw racing with comp overdrive (runs at 80mph at 3000rpm)
- Locker rear axle with quaif diff
- vented front disc all new & rebuilt,

Best times ran so far is 12.8 at 109 1/4mile.

Knew I'd stashed it somewhere!
