Today I finally got round to refurbishing my alloys. First I pressure washed them which removed most of the paint off them. As I've gone for a painted finish I got all corrosion and loose paint off with a knot wheel. It cleaned them up nice and made a key for the paint. Wouldn't use it if you want a bare metal finish though. I then put a couple of coats of grey primer on and then a good coating of top coat. Once that was dry I painted the black inserts using hamerite. Took a while with a small brush.havnt fitted them on the car yet as I wanted to let the paint set properly before I fitted tyres. Will get pics of them on the car when I've fitted them.

Havnt been on here for a while but been sorting out the front end. I'm sure everyone knows the process so I'm going to upload all the pics of my progress. There's quite a few so it going to take a while!

That's looking great Phil, I think your's was a tad worse than mine but it's nice to see someone else doing the same job as me and the way they deal with the fab work. I do like the way you've done the filler sections between the inner and outer valence under the lights, it looks much better than my folded versions.
I also like the way you've done the outer upper valence, I'm going to copy you I think that way I'll keep the welding away from the GRP eyebrows I'm using.

It makes it easier to line the panels and weld. I also put the cutting disc I used in the gap when I tacked the panel together.
