Yep, later carbs didn't have lifters. Penny pinching ya see.
Being Triumph a mixture may well be original but you could try the burlen site which was more of a shite last time I looked. If it's back to being of use you can find the time ranges for the different SU flavours fitted to sprints, drill down to the parts and see if lifters are on the BOM. Don't go by the picture, you need to look a the list underneath.
