When I had my Sprint, about 25 years ago, it was considered a good modification to fit a Ford P100 master cylinder which had a bigger bore. I fitted a new one with some specially made brake pipes and it certainly improved the feel if not the effectiveness (or, more appropriately, ineffectiveness!).
