No the brackets are handed and should not be swapped from side to side.
Your driver's side rubber block does look like it has sagged a lot. You could try turning it over. This should get your oil pump
clear of the rack. Whatever else may also be wrong this would be the first thing I would try next.
Can you find a supplier for new mounts in Oz? I'm not sure of the supply in the UK either of late.

Thanks for the continued comments - you and everybody. There are two reasons why I labour the details on all this. The first is that of course I want to fix it correctly first time. The second is that I'll need to order parts and they come a long way at cost - so I'd like to get everything I need in one order if possible to keep the shipping costs down.
So.
I was going to ask whether it's possible the brackets could be installed on the wrong side but of course once the cut outs are at the top and front that's it. So we can eliminate the brackets.
I think if I'm going to rent an engine hoist to re-do the engine mounts I'll get new ones. Searching online it would seem there is a lot of angst around engine mounts.
The suppliers who appear to stock are RB, Wins, Robsport, ANG Classic carparts. Couldn't quickly find any others.
Recommendations?

If the oil pump is touching the rack mount, as yours is, and the engine mounts are in the correct orientation, which they are, then the mounts are duff! From what I can gather from (almost too) many pics the gearbox mount is not too clever either, I can't put my finger on what's wrong with it but it just doesn't look right!
As far as new mounts go, I fitted an o/s one to Mahesh's car recently (the oil pump was hitting the rack mount - surprise!) having too much choice and lots of bad reviews of various suppliers offerings, I got one from Fitchetts who are local to me and didn't seem to have supplied anyone here with a duff one. And it fitted easily (they don't always) and seems to be doing the job, though it may be too soon to tell properly.
I've been dealing with Fitchetts for more than 30 years now and have nothing but praise for them. They have huge stocks and an excellent mail order service, even for export. But their website is more than a little primitive, (they are very old school, you should see their card index stock control system) it's better to phone them for what you want! If you want, I can PM you their phone number. BTW I have no connection with the firm, other than as a satisfied customer!

For the engine mounts I was thinking simply of RB but have various options getting my attention ie Ang classic parts, an ebayer selling metalastik marked product and someone in Oz supposedly with new ones.

With regard to all the photos from Ron1966, thanks for those they are very useful. They'd all escaped my attention tbh when we rapidly snuck onto page 3.
I measured the dashpot gap from straight edge and on mine its 9mm, not the 4 you have.
At the bottom end the sump just sticks proud below the subframe
Your driver side engine mount looks like it angles up to the engine, mine the opposite
The gearbox mount situation not so bad but I'd still say your sits a little higher
Solution will be as above!
