I hope you are going to send it for e-coating after all the paints been stripped off - would hate to to see all your hard work end up with tin worm (rust) in a couple of years down the line.

A good coat of paint and liberal waxoyl should suffice surely?
plus there's alot to be said for doing it (properly) the old fashioned way.
I've heard bad things from companies such as that.

Hey Pete, speaking of e coating, I can recommend a company called Pro Strip in Nottingham........erm, if you want verbally abusing, to be threatened with violence, offer a crap service and be messed around.
Tempted?
I know your Dad had a mare with them with his shell and I had my doors done by them. It cost me a further 500 quid to get the doors restraightened after they warped due to excessive heat and to remove the size 11 boot print in the driver's door that wasn't there when I dropped them off.....

Yeah, i vowed never to use Pro-Strip considering the difficulties my Dad had. The guy who painted his had to doing quite a lot of restorative work on the "e-coating"(as in places it wasn't e-coated....) so what's the point?

that's the point, I want people to go "wow!" when they see it, and i want kids to want to have pictures taken with it at shows.

I'm not totally sure what I'm doing yet. Vinyl roofs do look good.
