Re: Gearbox change
There are more than two slave cylinders....
They must go with the right bracket....

Re: Gearbox change
This looks like an adaptor ring, according to the sprint workshop manual (33.35.07), the slave cylinder has a built in flange, so your flange is made to use another slave cylinder of similar performance, but bore sizes, travel and master cylinders need to be matched for fluid displacement.

Re: Gearbox change
That slave cylinder only does the 1850 and sprint,
My car is a 1979 1500hl, the slve cylinder on mine pushes into that bracket and is secured with a pinch / lock bolt .

Re: Gearbox change
Apologies, I forgot we were talking about a 1500HL, I had sprint at the back of my mind.

Re: Gearbox change
Indeed and those brackets and slaves are not all the same...
But they all have the pinch bolt and groove so look interchangeable, but they arent.
The Volvo 140/240 series have a similar design too, which may well lead to some eroneous mixing and matching.
When you add Spits and heralds into the mix and the dolly 1300 and 1500 with different clutch plates its a nightmare...

Re: Gearbox change
Don't know if this will help but some suppliers use a Land Rover Series slave cylinder for Dolomites. Presumably the pushrods could be different.
