I hope you made it ok Rooboy. I only noticed you at the last minute in the outside lane so i could not stop to assist. I didn't have any spares or tools either so i probably would have only been moral support. Mine won't even make it out of the garage, so you got further than some. I had to go in a Euro Box.

Have you got any more pictures of this 2000? The louvred bonnet and Revolution(?) wheels are not standard.................

Yep, a quality day out from the Sprintinbits family point of view.
Another load of faces and characters to put to the forum names. Makes it even more worthwhile.
A quality convoy too, we saw the same TR7's with the bonnets up on the way home BTW
Shame we couldn't stick around for too long but we got to see and buy what we needed.

Even blagged a tea and biscuit at DesMkII's place on the way back Thanks again Dezz and Sue.
Are there any details on the IOW show that you were talking about? We are thinking of going

First some thanks.

To Ken for his company there and back - always a giggle. It was good to chat mate and to see you getting about again. I am really glad you enjoyed the run out in the Blue Meanie.

To Howard and friend for unbelieveably dragging themselves out of bed at silly o'clock as well, just so we could go in convoy. It was great to meet you at last, and your car looks amazing considering what it went through. Your tenacity with the insurers certainly paid off.

To Colin and family for meeting up on route and for guiding us expertly to Stoneleigh so that Ken and I could just carry on nattering like a pair of fishwives.

To Bruce, Nathan and all the Coventry massive for the extraordinary organisation of the stand, for bribing the marshalls to let me in even with my late arrival. The attention to detail with the number plates, laminated windscreen boards, and info sheets on the cars was fantastic and a very busy stand all day was testament to the hard work involved. It was an absolute pleasure to have been asked to put my car on the stand, and the crowds that inevitably gathered took time to enjoy ALL the Dolomites on display, and the Regalia.

It was lovely to meet Jeanette and Angie, and well done all the girls for the Dolly Mixtures and the tea, even though I didn't discover the kettle until after I had given Botulism Bob £1.50( ) for a cup of dishwater - doh!

Always great to see old faces and new ones, and as usual many fascinating conversations. Alun, Reg, David, Andy, Matt, Malc, Mark, Rich, Rob, Richard, Reg, Justyn and so many more. If only one fiftieth of the people who grilled me about my car end up doing one, there will be a lot more Toledo Redtop's on the road soon.

The show itself seemed very busy to me, and it never ceases to amaze me the variation in price for the same item across the different stalls. Well done Justyn for gettting those FWD wings in the end - the ploy of waiting till the end stood you in good stead mate.

A great show, a long day (I was up at 5.10 this morning), and HMH ran faultlessly there and back, so jobs a good 'un.

there was a trader selling a pair of fwd wings for £120, he still had them at the end of the day, he thought they were a bargain and even said to me
'if they were dolomites wings they would be £200 for the pair'

Well what can I say. A massive thanks to Martin for the warp factor drive to Stoneleigh. Real neck-snapping stuff ........ brilliant. That is one fun car

It was a real pleasure to also put faces to names.... Janette, Miniman, JamieSE, et al. Great to meet new folk too. The stand looked fantastic, very professional. Those tables were the business. A huge thumbs up to Janette for giving the regalia the care and attention that it needs.

The cars on display were all crackers and gave a good representation of the range. Angie that is one damn good car you have there and lovely to meet you.

Note for next year to whoever organises the stand, just make sure there is a spot for LD

At least I will be able to walk by then

I managed to get some bits and pieces for LD. Thanks to everyone who brought and exchanged spares on the day, especially madmart and Rich.

Hi all

Great stand with great cars, didn't really want to intrude, but it seemed a happy atmosphere.

Them cars looked soooooo good, i loved seeing the 16v 2 door blue toledo for the first time in the flesh she really is a proper beauty.

Spent alot of time talking to people i hadn't seen for a while, this show is great for that, wasn't able to go in my dolly unfortunately its in bits having some of the bodywork issues addressed, had to take the 2000 instead.

Colin, as for the iow triumph do, im not really sure who exactly organises it but i think its the iow triumph club or even maybe the tssc, its normally held over the first bank holiday weekend in may at the Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday Park.
Heard its awesome, great for families so i booked us some accommadation, fingers crossed.

Roll on the summer and some more Triumph outings, see you about.

Cheers Ken for the pipe it's alot better than the rusty one on there and got some nice wheels of JonyPI, good to meet you both and nice exit by the way , the sprint wasn't well enough to try any doughies in the carpark

We arrived pretty late, had to take it easy on the way there, the sprint was hesitating under load, got overtaken by a mini and a coach seemed to go alot better on the way home though. Sorry not to meet anyone else, we didn't have much time for socialising and aside from Ken's robocop description i didn't know who else to look out for but we'll be sure to say hi next time. The Stand and the cars looked great though. Anyone know the red toledo with twin exhaust and twin headlights in the carpark (awesome!)?

Great show, it was good to see familier faces again. I spent so long looking for parts that I ran out of time to meet and greet anybody else at the stand. Always a good show, for me, its the start of the classic car show season..

Likewise, it was an excellent show and great to finally put faces to names!!! Also a big thanks to the TDC organisers too for letting me park my car on the stand at the eleventh hour, it really made my day

Martin, Tom, Marshall, Angie, Andy, Howard for putting there cars on the stand and making the long trip to get there, its much appreciated and the stand looked excellent, Big thanks for Howard for popping his car on the stand at the last min, we needed one car to make it look equal on both sides..so thanks for steeping up!!

So sorry for Rooboy (rich), he had left at 5am from kent to be at stoneleigh for 8.30 only for the head gasket to expire 15miles from stoneleigh....felt gutted for you mate along with everyone else, hope you got home ok and you manage to sort it soon!!

Also thanks to Jannette & Danny for bringing the Regalia and for spending the time to source all the new items...big well done to you guys!!

Great to see so many friends, Matt, sorry i didn't see you towards the end, its was good to see you, hope to see you again soon, Colin, Martin, Ken, Rob, Rob Marshall, Malc great to see you guys, nice to meet Howard and Angie, both got lovely cars!!

Its been a little mad for me over the last couple of weeks with my Dad being in hospital amongst other things but i really enjoyed getting the stand together, this show is my favorite of the year and love being part of it.....its the show i joined the club 3 years ago and i havent looked back.....Im all up for doing my bit again next year!!

Thanks to everyone who bought cars, helped out or just come and supported the club, it was a great day and the stand looked fantastic, easily the busiest of all the clubs and we also signed up another 10 members!!
