Been a few years but IIRC:

Umpteen honking great sheds and halls jam packed with stalls selling 2nd hand parts, NOS parts, new parts, tools, gadgets and services such as carb, overdrive or gearbox overhauls. Many clubs will have stands there and there are usually a few dozen cars for sale. Parking, if you turn up in a Triumph, is free and under cover. There's an hour killed already just looking around what turns up. There's always a fair bit of unrelated stuff, the sort of tat that turns up at every show whatever the theme (folding chairs & shooting sticks for example). Botulism Bob will be there flogging those delicious burgers you wouldn't normally touch. There will be some snake oil sellers too.

I'm hoping to go this year.

Calamity: there are no outdoor stands this year!

No outdoor stands does this mean just the 2 main halls or are the cow sheds included as well? I do usually go to the show but there has been a noticable drop in bits and bobs over the years which is probably to be expected. The move away from advance tickets is also a pain. No doubt i'll come along for a day out and come back with some stuff I didn't want. Steering rack from bought from Alun still where it rested when it came home!

The decline in quality and quanity of parts in the past few years in down to the internet and Ebay, whereas five years ago without ebay or indeed the 'net people relied on these type of events to get that much needed rare item.

Just the cow sheds as I understand it, the posh halls are too expensive!

Looks as if I will be there, I suspect I'm about to have my life and activities re-organised for me!

Oh I see so everything is in the cow sheds and they're still charging a tenner to get in? I don't see the unheated sheds being the perfect place to hold a club display either. Still at least if it is wet, everyone who is normally outside will stay dry.

Every year, and more often than not, a prize-winning one. Who can forget last year's "1970s car showroom" display?
The Triumph Show at Stoneleigh is the best car event of the year in my opinion. It's a shame that the organisers are having to cut costs but far better to use some of the cheaper halls on the site than to have no show at all (if indeed that is what they are planning to do). I feel that we should give them all the support we can.
