If you superglue the rubber back onto the metal bit of an engine mount it only lasts about 4 miles, so out it comes again tomorrow.

This time I think I'll have to weld it back together.

I followed a Rimmer Bros truck through Bidford-on-Avon this morning, about 9am. He headed North on the A46 and I headed South, towards Evesham. I wonder what he was doing (other than a good 20 above the prevailing speed limit....) :)

Hmmm, no direct answers :scratchin: ......... :eureka:

Did you know that its quite common for blokes camping at Le Mans to build a wall with their empty stumpies? One built on the Houx Annexe site in about 2002 by 7 blokes over 4 days averaging a crate of 24 per head per day might look something like this.

Now, I'm not the worlds greatest expert on beer walls but I reckon from the overall shape there may have been a classic car enthusiast in the party that built this example. Perhaps I might venture that he could even be a fan of 70's British saloons....

I was going to say thanks to tinweevil, but I can't because that would go against the spirit of this thread!
It would be nice if the temperature rose above freezing today. :(

Glorioil is a Texan company which specialises in technology to:
improve and increase recovery from mature oil wells and to solve complex problems associated with the production of oil, gas and water.
That really appeals to the petrol-head in me. Which was unexpected from a company founded in 2005 by Dr Pachauriwho is also Chairman of the IPCC

It is rare indeed to receive any good news from large faceless organisations. However, opening a letter from one of the worlds largest insurance companies to read that they owe you a refund of £130, and that the money will be in your bank account on or before 23 December does indeed fit into that category.
