Waterpump of Doom pt2

#1 Post by Lord Tolly »

Well today wel finally had some progress with the cover after much heaving and prying the cover finally came off so i could actually find out what type of pump was fitted so I could order one.

As a matter of interest I deciced to see if the pump would come loose by turning the top bolt....... Yeah right!!

So with bolt out instead we decided to try and remove the impeller from the top of the pump but to no avail.

so looks like special tool time to get the pump out.

Has anyone got a decent photo of the special tool needed for this job so i could try to clobber somithing together??? :D

cheers for that one.

I take it the end of the slide hammer is welded to the left hand threaded bolt then and the bolt is used to bump the pump out.

Sorry to sound a bit thick here but never done one of these before :D
