Dolomite action in Denmark

#1 Post by TahitiSPRINT »

A few weekends ago (7th and 8th of August) saw the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, with lots of classic car action.

Danish Dolomite fan Bo Hansen was there with his (ex-Broadspeed?) race prepared Dolomite Sprint, embarrassing some 911 drivers ;-)

Here’s a link to some in-car footage: on-board video

And from the track: track side video

Cheers,

Imagine trying to get the elf and safety lot to sanction road racing like that in UK today?

Danish Dolomite Sprint owner Bo Hansen is racing again on the 22nd-24th of May at the Classic Racing Aarhus in Denmark

Apparently (using Google translate  ) his car has a very interesting history and was one of 2 original Broadspeed Dolomite Sprints to be sold to Scandinavia at the end of the 70’s. It's still original and running well despite an engine bay fire in 2013

Good luck to Bo at the races!

To my eyes they don't half look like Lotus Elite wheels ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Elite ) . About 1/2 way down the page under type 75.
Except they are 14 in wheels, but will easily take a 215 size tyre and the wheel nut pcd is different as well. It would be an interesting conversion especially on the back-end of a Sprint.
