Introducing Martyworld

#1 Post by 1300dolly »

A few members have asked in for me to do a write up about my yard, so here is a preview of 'Martyworld', A write up may make its way into DM in the near future.....

Martyworld is located near Southamton Hants comprising of a small workshop and outdoor stoarge, At present I have inside the workshop a 1967 1300FWD which is udergoing a longterm full restoration and the car that started of the need for aworkshop, things soon got out of hand and the FWD is now sat under a shelve awaiting some unobtainable panels to appear menawhile a full restro is underway with Sarahs 1980 1500HL auto, as shown in the pics the underside in nearly complete and I am now waiting for the suspension to return from the sandblasters before it can go back on its wheels.
Ouside sits one of my first Dolomites a Sandglow 1300 named ELY which is in need of TLC, Ely is sat next to a 1967 1300FWD recently saved from another club memeber and awaiting work.
Acroos the yard sitting in the shadow of a 1964 Routemaster bus which is fully working and used now and then just for a bit of fun is is a year unknown 1500 Dolly on Jersey plates, a new engine is waiting to be fitted to. A W plate carmine 1850 which has now been sold but is staying here whilst the welding and other work is done for the MOT.A carmine P reg 1500 dolly chassis number 285 is being used a Sarahs daily driver untill here 1500 is done.
My 1500TC normally resides at Martyworld so it can be kept indoors away from the sun and rain.

The brown 1850 was sold today to mate of mine called Rob.

Should I avoid telling you that rob is a scrapman?
All the usefull parts were removed, all the panels except the bootlid were beyond saving.

Nice to see 'Fulham' (FFC) still going. I drove that car from Malvern to Stourbridge with XVI.... and it went really well.
