resto 1500hl updated with more pics

#1 Post by buster »

hi guys ive just joinedthe club i rescued my pagent blue dolly 1500hl last october from a eldely gentlman in sandwich kent .the car had been for sale for some months and he had no luck selling it and said he was giving up hope so it was on its way to dolly heaven. so i purchased the car and drove her home with a slipping clutch to my home in broadstairs kent. for the past year now ive been working on her .the body is nearly ready for paint and she sits on a set of lovely sprint alloys i had refurbished. the interior has gone and will be replaced with new carpets etc. when ive worked out how to post pics il put some up.watch this space for next installment simon.NEXT INSTALLMENT well today the bodywork is near completion all in primer just one panel left to tackle and thats the o/s/ front wing not looking forward to it. it will be painted by myself next year now in its lovely pagent blue but over the winter months il be turning to the engine side of things which will be stripped cleaned new gaskets etc end float needs sorting while the engine is out the engine bay will be resrayed and all components cleaned and put back watch this space.

Looks as though you've cracked the adding pictures buster.

If you want to make them full size then just hit the img button and then paste the url in from Photobucket then hit the img button again and it should appear full size. :)

well here we are again after a lot of time and effort the bodywork is now nearly redy for painting the offside front wing is now fitted and even though i say so myself its gone really well and looks good just needs front door fitting back this week wheather permitting. engine and gearbox will be removed sometime in the next few weeks and looking forward to getting a rear cage fitted soon here are some lattest pics on the work completed.
