48's £550 a pair and 45's £480 a pair.
I have no connectionn with the seller but thought these were a very good price.
Are they?

I would be weary of buying this way though as i have been duped before on pistonheads.
At least with Ebay you can look at the sellers history and feedback whereas pistonheads doesnt offer this.
I once bought some bargain header pipes for a Subaru on there and i never received them. The seller dissappeared almost instantly!

I agree totally but pick them up in person.
I was lucky with my Dellorto's as they were nearly new jetted for the sprint and consecutive number tags on them.

HI ALL
Just quick question which most likily needs a long reply but is there any way of buying a pre set correctly sized jets for a pair of weber 45's
or does any one have a list of jet sizes needed ?
or is it a case of the car has to go to a rolling road set up to be set up.

No is the short answer. I have a list of what I have on my Sprint, which would be a decent starting place, but you really need to get it on the rollers.

Thanks for that! any chance of the list so i can ask for these when i order and than hopfully once i get the car back on rd full time i will get it tuned and sorted, i have owned the 1973 sprint for 26yrs after buying off my dad who bought it from new in its pretty original having only covered 37k miles still rust free and after having the car garaged up for 12yrs have decided to get her back on the rd and have decided to have a play with the engine

cheers just as u think you are getting your head around it !!! then notice every WEBER 45 DCOE i look at are different modle,s ie: 152 or 152G or 9 or different progresive holes can u help me by what model did u go with but again thanks for the jet sizes.
i think it looks like i want to get 152's but if u could help me confirm cheers

My little girl Rebecca had an AX GT and would not listen when she asked if I thought it was a good idea to fit a pair of Webers as I said NO leave it alone, but she did fit them and entered a world of grief as several so called tuning firms had a go at them

at one time the car reeked of fuel and was very difficult to drive.
I am so glad she does not have a poxy little French car now

I have a poxy little french car now and am so glad I have it, never thought I'd say it, but don't knock the french they have made some good stuff!....it goes very well

You clearly have not had to work on one yet

Who but the French use 7 mm bolts ?
who but the French would bolt a seat in with long bolts that stick out underneath the car and go rusty so that they break when you try to remove them?
Who but the French would have the fuel pump earth wired in to the back lights?
Who but the French have brake bleed nipples 6mm diameter that ALWAYS break and ruin the caliper?

A little outfit known as Ford. Apparently they used them in various locations around something called an "Escort". No, I'd never heard of them either...

Could someone running twin Dellorto 45s mind telling me what the jetting is on their car, for comparison, please? I'm running the following at the moment:

60 idle jets
7850.1 idle jet holders
7772.5 emulsion tubes
160 main jets
180 air correctors
42 pump jets
36mm chokes

TIming now set at 16 degrees BTDC.
