Just finished installing a 24mm ARB from a 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV, thanks to my friend Fraser for donating his old ARB. I haven't road tested it yet so don't know how well it will perform. There doesn't appear to be any clearance issues at this point as long as I don't lower the car too much. My car is primarily used for Autocrossing these days so next weekend will be the big test. Anyway a few pics taken straight after the install, a bit of fettling around the end links is likely to be required. I just hope I haven't under engineered the end links, I have room to go bigger if necessary. Not too happy about the location of the mounts either, I fear they may be too far in board, I'll make some brackets to hang from the subframe if that proves to be the case.
Thanks Jon, I've put a few miles on it now and even the disgraceful roads round here haven't broken the end links yet. Looking forward to the weekend now as long as I can sort out this pesky high rpm misfire.
Despite still having the high end running issues, now compounded by the fact my plug tubes filled with oil, I made up 20 places in the field over last year. ARB and sticky R888 205/65 tyres made all the difference.
yes Jon, they are Toyo's. I got them used from a chap who hawks used race tyres, so they may be past their best, but a big improvement over the Nangkang/Sumitomo mixture I was trying to run on last year.
