Triumph day at the Ace

#1 Post by Jon Tilson »

Well its that time of year again. Its 11 am on at the Ace Cafe on 9th June.

Think I might tool along to that in something relevant.

Anyone else up for it? Weather is supposed to be better on Saturday.

Would be tempted but will be otherwise engaged taking the GT6 to the bodywork doctors down on the South Coast.

Cheers

Well a good time was had by all and knowing that 3 sprints were going I took the spit just to be different, and cos I like showing a car with
a sheddy interior.

Mike Reg and Rush all joined me and it was a fun time. A bit lower on attendance maybe than last year. Stags were still the most common car of the day
with 6 in total....1 up on TR5's of which I saw 4, yes 4. How rare are they! The 3 sprints are a total credit to their owners, all in fantastic shape.

Car of the day for me was though was the green TR2...just so primitive. A lovely mk1 GT6 ran it close on sheer rarity, and came up from Southampton with a TR5 for company.

but I claim the prize for the car owned longest. Ive had the spit 30 years now. Nobody I spoke to was even close....ha!
