Valves

#1 Post by Mad Mart »

Next question, I want to get a new set of inlet/exhaust valves for the Sprint. Where's the best/cheapest place to get them?

Maybe from me. I somehow ended up with scads of extra new valves and parts. I have springs, cam followers and many extra valves, pretty sure all 16.

Use the power of the Pound right now to grab yourself a deal...

No, I haven't tried anywhere yet. I'll give Fitchetts a call tomorrow.

I've been straining the grey cells to try to remember what the alternative valve I've read about and where, all to no avail :-( A seive would be an improvement over my memory. Fortunately Hans just posted in the motorsport section:
BMW motor bike valves
.

I'm assuming it's for the Blue Meaney not the Orange Delight?

Yep it's for Frenchie. I rang Fitchetts today & they were a bit cheaper than Rimmers so hopefully, if not tomorrow, by Wednesday I should have them. :D Then it's off to the m/c shop to have them & the seats reground and to have the head skimmed if needed.
