Anyone going?
Retro Rides Gathering - 19th August
Re: Retro Rides Gathering - 19th August
I hopefully will be going up (on the Midlands stand) with the 1850, as long as its up and running in less than a week!

Re: Retro Rides Gathering - 19th August
I was thinking about it, but I don't have a car, or any enthusiasm for it really.
1978 Twilight Purple Dolomite 1850HL The Lolomite.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

Apparently it's good. I spoke to a chap who went last year who has an Opel Cadet with an MX-5 engine, fantastic thing, anyway he said it was a nice relaxed atmosphere will a few BBQs going, roughly 200 cars and the sound of old beasts blasting up and down the hill. Sounds good to me and it's cheap entry so I'll probably head up there with a few mates.

Was it yours that I saw then? There was a semi-converted V8 blue 1850 like in your pic parked at the bottom.Hoops wrote:I hopefully will be going up (on the Midlands stand) with the 1850, as long as its up and running in less than a week!
All in all was a good day but very hot. Nice to see Al's orange Toledo in the flesh.

Nah I did not make it I am afraid, the Clutch was really playing up late yesterday afternoon and it was not running well, today on the other hand, it was Ok but it was too late
Oh well.
