Good Day Everyone.

Does anyone know roughly what the oil capacity is of a TR7 engine with an 1850 sump as I dont feel the 1850 dipstick is giving an accurite reading in the block

Both TR7 and 1850 are quoted at 4.5 litres, for oil and filter change.

TR7 sticks and sumps are a different shape so misread with a dolly sump.

My TR7 stick reads on the bottom line when its got the full gallon newly in after a change.

I guess the trick is to use the dolly tube and stick as well...far too easy....I like the nice rubber tube thats attached to the filter box. More civilised...
