french west coast fast road sprint

hello,
my name is charles and i'm french
i 'll try to show you my sprint project which was waiting in my garge since few years ( saved from a junkyard..) :D
here is some photos at the start :o

in fact i bought her just for the water pump for one of my customer 's stag and keep it because the body just show two or three rust spots :shock: :shock:
she was outdoor in a junkyard nearly twenty years !! :shock: ( south coast weather :wink: :wink: )
but still with it's original paint never repaint :D
she serves for donor for a race dolomite too ( so parts missing.. :? :? )
my plan is to make a really fast road car..

it's a really good body with no rust ( perforante) on sills or doors's bottom

Welcome to the forum Charles.

Are you going to fit the original engine or are you going to do something different? The body looks like it is well preserved. The climate will have helped.

i think your number plates look better than english ones. (apart from them being black)

starts by the hood
just to show for people who want to restore old cars how is it important to strip to bare metal even if the paint is good :!:

original engine but uprated :evil:
i'm accustomed ( can i says that word ??) to restore classic british cars and our cars in france are so rusty than yours
this one i think passed between drops :lol:

two small rust hole behind the paint : that 's why it is necessary two strip the paint. but no dents at all so no filler :D :D
