oh no, not a Triumph 2000
In a fit of madness, I've agreed a deal on a mk 1 2000.
The deal is take down the garage it's been in for 30 years, and get the car.........
If Nathan sees this, I'm sure he'll add photos

Re: oh no, not a Triumph 2000
Nice motor. Have fun.
Ah yes........
The joys of extracting vehicles from unintended resting places, I remember it well from the times I uplifted scrap cars
.
I remember going to a house near John O' Groats to uplift "one car" where on arrival the only car I could see was a Chevette parked in very long grass (up
past the wings). As was normal I knocked on the door to check with the owner that they wanted their car lifted, but the owner was none to pleased because
she said they were running the Chevette! Round the back was a Datsun 180.......
My brother came once to help and that was collect a T2000, which we towed back somehow despite losing a wheel from it TWICE
.
After then, he said never again.
Ian.

Re: oh no, not a Triumph 2000
A few year ago I was offered a old Standard van, in the 40 years it was there a large tree had grown in front of it, someone had removed most of the tree leaving a very large three foot high stump in the way.
I let some one else have the pleasure of owning it.
Didn't your or Nath save a FWD a few years ago that had a tree or bush growing through it?

Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I really would like a T2000 one day...!
I cannot wait to see some pictures of this particular one...
Good luck with the rescue, I hope it goes well.

In answer to the question, Nath and I saved a lot of parts from a 1300 that had a bush grow round it. I'm not saying it was rotten, but the floor pan was on the floor, and the inner tubes were sticking out if rot holes in the wheels!

Re: oh no, not a Triumph 2000
You need to track down Ted Taylor (CT and T2000 forums)
He is involved with a "spares group" who I believe were looking to get the repair panels made?
best not even ask how much front wings go for (makes dolly ones look cheap)

Top man!
That looks bloody straight! I love the shape of these cars, just like a slightly grown up version of the 1300FWD.
Fantastic! What is the interior like?
