Toledo Boot Seal Rubber

#1 Post by andrew_27 »

hi there,

Iv been having boot seal issues with my Toledo, the old rubber had perished and wasn't saveable, I tried using 720438 from rimmers but I gather this is for a dolomite and is pretty useless for a Toledo. In my parts catalogue the original seal number is 709524 but this seems to be unavailable. I wondered what other people had used as an alternative?

Thanks!

A seal from a 1300FWD would be the same but I'm not sure about availability, part number is 709524, Oh that's the same a Toledo

Try somewhere like Martrim or Phoenix who should be able to supply a suitable rubber by the metre.
Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I went with a conventional lip type seal off the rear end of a minibus in my local scrappy rather than the original type stuck to the bootlid, it may not be as per the original but does the job and only cost a couple of quid...
