#1 Post by mec »

Hi all

Well today saw the delivery of my new purchase, a 1973 Dolly 1850 auto in ice blue, the car has been delivered to my fathers house in norfolk (i live in essex) so i havnt actually seen the car in real life yet but my dad has sent me some pics, the car needs a little welding to the inner rear wheel arches which i knew on purchase, im very pleased with the car, it needs a few jobs doing which i will update on here as i do them, heres some pics....

It looks like it has been well looked after. Good to see another early 1850 auto in this section of the forum.

Well after waiting forever to see my new car, i finally went to Norfolk on the weekend and i am over the moon with the car, unfortunately i did get any time to do any welding as my fathers 1850 auto blew the head gasket 2 months ago so spent the time taking the head off of his car,

is there anything else any of you guys would recommend to do or change whilst the head if off ?

Lovely combo.... 1850 and an auto. Truly wonderful colour. Overall a pretty solid car that should be on the road without too much hassle (hopefully). Whereabouts in Essex are you?

Ok, well I'm in Enfield. Not that far away if you want a hand with anything. I'm always keen to venture into the Essex badlands.

That really is a nice car and from the looks of it, there is minimal work to do re: rust. I have seen MUCH worse.
